Susan Crawford is a writer who lives in New York City with her husband and two sons. Out of her experiences “navigating the system” for both sons, she formed The Right to Read Project.
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development estimates that four out of ten children struggle with learning to read. The Right to Read Project is dedicated to raising awareness of the magnitude of reading problems, as well as what can be done within families, in schools, and throughout the nation to help children who struggle with learning to read.
Please join in this effort by sharing your thoughts and experiences with your own struggling readers on this blog!
To help other parents who too often face this struggle alone, Susan has written HELP! My Child Isn’t Reading Yet — What Should I Do? It is available in print and as an e-book.
